During the first quarter of the 20th century, Philadelphians built what was, for a short time, one of the country’s largest urban park systems. Elizabeth Milroy, Professor and Director of the Art History Program at Drexel University, will reveal how art and politics combined to influence the expansion of green spaces in the city.
