Join us for a Members-Only Hard-Hat Tour of the conversion of the historic Stephen Girard Building into a unique boutique hotel.
The 13-story granite and terracotta Stephen Girard Building at 12th and Ludlow Streets was built at the turn of the 19th century in the Beaux-Arts style. Designed by James H. Windrim as the headquarters of the Directors of City Trusts-- the agency that manages the charitable trusts of Stephen Girard-- the building is currently being renovated into a unique hotel.
National Real Estate Development is working with local architecture firm BLTa, Hunter Roberts Construction Group, and AvroKo interior designers on the project, which will be a central part of National Real Estate Development’s large mixed-use East Market project.
Hear from Marshall French, Development Manager; Bill McDowell, Director, Development; and Matthew Morettini, Construction Manager of National Real Estate Development about the project and its impact on East Market. Participants will tour the work in progress, with a chance to see the model rooms and the original Samuel Yellin-designed staircase.
NOTE: This is an active construction site. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Hard hats will be provided.
Advance Registration Required. Tour's meeting location will be emailed to registrants.
