YFPA is thrilled to announce the 2024 edition of In With The Old, where we celebrate historic preservation in the Philadelphia region. This year, we’ll gather at the historic German Society of Pennsylvania at 611 Spring Garden Street on Thursday, October 10. Explore the 1888 Italianate-style structure and discover its beautifully preserved interiors, including a classic Horner library and ratskeller.

We invite friends of the Preservation Alliance of all ages to join YFPA for drinks, hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes, and camaraderie with fellow preservationists.

Accessibility: 

The building is fully accessible via elevator, which will allow guests to access all levels of the building, including the library, auditorium, ratskeller, and bathrooms

How to get there: 

The German Society can be accessed by car, rideshare, or SEPTA’s Broad Street and Market-Frankford lines. The Society has a fenced-in parking lot with roughly 25-30 spots. There is also plenty of street parking along Spring Garden and the surrounding streets. The Spring Garden MFL stop is a 12-minute walk, and the Spring Garden BSL stop is a 16-minute walk.
